🔊 Donald Trump suspended H-1B, L-1 and other temporary work permits, which he said is aimed at protecting local workers who are facing unemployment due to the spread of the novel corona-virus. The decision was damned by the US tech industry, which said it would hurt innovation and delay the recovery of the US economy. In a statement Donald Trump said "We have a moral duty to create an immigration system that protects the lives and jobs of our citizens". The issuing of the these specific types of visas by USA are suspended till 31th Dec 2020.

"I didn't know this 13 years ago when my H1-B visa was rejected, but haven't regretted a moment since," he wrote.
